We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and we are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.
As you may have noticed during your visits to our office, infection control has always been a top priority. Our infection control processes are designed so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. We would like to take a moment to tell you about the infection control procedures we employ to keep patients and staff safe.
Our office follows the infection control recommendations put forth by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We monitor all updates to stay abreast of new rulings or guidelines that are issued. This ensures our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agencies’ recommendations. Due to these updated guidelines you will see our staff wearing extra protective equipment including gowns and gloves. The ADA has advised all offices to use dental code D1999 to report the excess cost of PPE. Our office will submit code D1999 and charge a flat $10 to cover the excess cost. If your insurance does not reimburse this added cost of PPE, the $10 charge will be applied to your account.
We have made some changes around the office to help protect our patients and staff. These changes include:
These steps are being taken to keep you safe in our office. We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have. To make an appointment, please call our office at (757)484-4197 or visit our contact page.
Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors and friends.
